Sorry about my grammar Trillium Farm, I should have been more specific about the BERTA as it is a two stage and available in 2 models for the BCS and Grillo and other 2 wheel mules. I have a sneaking suspicion that the Simplicity single stage is made by MTD or RAD and I will find out on Monday.
I am going to invest in a new mower deck as it is $731.81 from the local JD dealer and I will just take my chances for now as I will probably end up with a Toro 1428 OXE rather than spend more money on the 42 inch snow blower the lawn mower came with. I have to have something that will break through the crap that the state dumps on my driveway as the LA115 is no match for the crap they dump on my driveway and to keep the second driveway open for coal deliveries and the meter man. If the 42 inch snow blower was not a parts hog a royal biatch to change belts with every time I would have kept it but I doubt I will every see the same high quality I saw in wheel horse and IHC cub and simplicity again with the vertical crankshaft engines.
All I ever needed was one lousy V belt to commit to a repair for the simplicities and the wheel hoses and the original cubs
They do not seem to be offering snow blowers for the cubs they sell now.
If they used no salt that would be one thing but they poison the water and create ice dams every time they plow on my road.
They will not be paving the road as they have no money for that nor ditching which we sorely need on my mountain.
I will just take the old rotted out mower deck and the snow blower to the scrap yard.
I have to check Joel's prices at Earth Tools again to think about it some more.
