City Boy,
I just got in my first dozen of the 15 series Mahindra's. If you like the CK20 Kioti or the 2015 Mahindra but you think it is a little small, test drive the 2615 or 3015. I've always been a fan of gear or shuttle/gear transmissions...but after driving these hydros, I think I am beginning to see why everyone likes them so much. The 15 series Mahindra is built by Mitsubishi in Japan, so quality isn't even a question.

City Boy- I am not familuar with what type of transmission this 2810 has, but a tractor can have a foward & reverse shuttle attached to either a straight gear non syncro, or a syncro. trans
Is the 2810 an India tractor or a componant Korean built? I think the Korean has an Iseki transmission, same as a TYM.

Well, I missed out on the gear drive 2810. It was sold on Friday. So while I was on the lot, I climbed up on a 2810 HST and rode around for a while. Wow! Dealer quoted a price of $16,200 for tractor, FEL, boxblade, rotary cutter, and toothbar. Compared to $14,300 for the CK20 HST w/same implements. I hate to admit this, but I'm thinking hard about the Mahindra, even though that's a couple grand more than I had planned on spending. Decisions, decisions.

I fell in that trap too. It sure is sweet. Better stay away from it else it'll end up in the back yard /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

if u like the tractor, and the $$$ is not out of your range then go for it. whatever u decide on i will have to give my vote for HST. GOOD LUCK

City Boy, I know just what your going through, after much comparison among a lot of brands I felt the 2810 was just what I wanted, that is until I drove it vs the 2810HST. What a smooth machine! Check the loader specs if it is Mahindra branded. I think you'll find it a little better than on the gear drive. The hydro unit is a little roomier, with no shift lever, you only lose .5 PTO HP with the hydro. I'm not sure if they all come with R4 tires but two that I compared did & the hydro unit had larger tires than the gear unit, able to hold more fluid which made it extremely stable when I was moving full buckets of crushed stone. Also a wider stance. I also liked the two pedal hydro vs the rocker pedal of some other brands. I think the difference in $ is only about $1000 from gear to hydro. Small change for what you get.

i went to a dealer that has kioti and mahindra tractors and i drove the hst ck 20 and the mahindra 2015 hst and the mahindra buried
the ck in the power the ck was smoother but your buying a tractor
ill take the power

i was going to buy a kioti ck 20 until i tried the 2015 hst mahindra
it buried the kioti in power,i also have a nh tc 33 and the mahindra
can almost lift as much as the 33!!!
