you can just cut the crop and take it in.. in my area only corn needs put in the dryer most years however when you take it in you will get more doc because of it being wet and what not. you can get better prices if you had a way to store it. around here you can put your load on delayed price... meaning the elevator stores it but you havnt commited to a price but they charge you a storage fee for doing that and if the market goes down you can get hit pretty good.. all just to keep in mind.
