Doc,

Good advice so far. Block the clutch down and maybe put on a trickle charger. A glug of stabil in the full fuel tank.

Or, you could just bring it up to Eau Claire, and I will USE it all summer. That way you won't have to worry about storage. I won't even charge anything, other than fuel ! Such a deal...

My NH manual mentions blocking the clutch pedal on my 2120.

No mention of blocking the clutch on my TN70A.

The reason to block the clutch pedal in the down position is if there is any moisture that will cause surface rust to form on the pressure plate, disk, and flywheel, that rust can cause the clutch to not release when the pedal is depressed at a later date. By keeping the three components apart from each other, you will only get some surface rusting that will quickly burnish off when you next run it. It also depends on the type of clutch disk is used. If it is a ceramic disk, then rust isn't a factor. If it is a sintered metallic unit, it is a big factor. I have no idea of what the tractor manufacturers are presently using for clutch linings. This is a general statement that applies to all vehicles that have clutches.

I'll even wax it, put tire goop on the tires to make them black, change the oil and grease it. I will take better care of it than I would my own machine, since it is on loan...:D :D
