Tractor suggestions for primarily snowblowing a long, steep, windy driveway?

I have a 4100 with a blade in front and a 60” blower on the back. It works well. Blowing looking backwards is not too bad. I use the blade to make a pile of snow down the middle of the drive and then only one pass with a blower. I’d like a front mount but this was cheaper. The tractor had the blade when I bought it. The 47” inch blower will leave little room to maneuver on the first pass in heavy snow but you can back up and have a wider area on the second pass. I have good chains but rarely use them as the 3 point arms are very close. I need to look into spacers so I can leave the chains on. I have a sears garden tractor with a blower. With chains and weights it has serious trouble with hills. If you leave blower down you have to push the blower. If you lift the blower, there is little weight on the rear wheels. I wouldn’t consider that option unless there were no slopes, let alone hills. It does blow very well though on level ground. I think your 4100 option is a good one. As others have said, it will allow you to learn what is best for you at modest cost that you could recover if you choose a different route. That was my thinking and while I’m pretty sure I’ll someday go for a cab and a front blower, this will be my tool for some time yet.
