I was shopping for tractors not long ago. It had to mow and power a pto in back. I started looking at turning radius and almost convinced myself I needed one of those four wheel steering smallish tractors from whoever (you know who) but then remembered I mowed my large yard counterclockwise with as few turns as possible and wondered how those four wheel steering systems would stand up over time and so size and comfort and general ease of use and meeting my budget became my primary concerns with turning radius about dead last. After getting the 2360 it seems I was right, for me, it is comfortable, cuts beautifully and does not tear up my lawn and it turns tight enough to trim around trees as well as my old (18 year old Garden Way) Troybilt lawn tractor did.

So tight turning was not a concern for me, is it for you, perhaps when tilling?

Sorry, after thinking about it, one does not till every week.

Each end of my vineyard has a forty foot set back to allow for turning...

I can get by with a bit less, but I'm not planning on always being the one in the driver's seat.

I think it varies from person to person. If you have a really open yard with no obstacles turning radius is not as important. If your yard is small or has a bunch of obstacles turning radius is important. I also agree with Keith, it depends on the operator. One person may be able to maneuver around fine with a BX were someone else may need 4 wheel steer.

I think you we are the only 2 on here that have yards, everyone else has "Lawns."

If you are that concerned with turning you need a zero-turn mower. It depends on how you cut your grass. A BX turns well, but if you have a ton of things to cut around even 4 wheel steer isn't going to get it done like a zero. Most of those 4 wheel steer deals are consumer grade only and it sounds like you wanted more so you probably made a good choice.
