Tractor Washing

I presure wash my tractor several times per year.
I pressure wash every part I can get at, including the engine and transmission.

Yeah, I've washed em a few times.
Man, I have way too much work to do to worry about washing tractors!
I hose em off if they get really muddy or if I am going to work on them.

Usually though, unless it is really heavy mud, I just let them dry off and then blow them clean next time I have them near the shop. I have an outside air hose there.

Wax? Geez is that like a metrosexual farmer?
Wax the underside of the hood? You are joking right?

I know, I shouldn't tease you. If it makes you happy it is cool by me.
I would like my tractor to look that good. It just isn't high enough up my priority stack

But back to the original question: I think the bottom line is to not worry about how you are washing it. Just don't soak your air cleaner! When I do wash them, I let them cool down some first. Oh, and I use beer.

You wax the underside of the hood??? I am having a hard time breaking loose of that one

I went down to my property fully intending to wash and wax my tractor. As mentioned, it lives in an open sided shed and I think waxing the orange painted surfaces. And I fully intended to wax the rims too, just for the stunt of it and to come back here and make more trouble for Waxman (the guy who waxes under the hood and under the seat).

But it rained and I had to do some quick road repair due to guests coming in 2wd cars.

So now it sits covered in mud.

Maybe next week.

Wait until they start using clear coat. No need to wax!! the what are you and waxman going to do? I guess you can clay bar the clearcoat.
