Yeah, I've washed em a few times.
Man, I have way too much work to do to worry about washing tractors!
I hose em off if they get really muddy or if I am going to work on them.
Usually though, unless it is really heavy mud, I just let them dry off and then blow them clean next time I have them near the shop. I have an outside air hose there.

I know, I shouldn't tease you. If it makes you happy it is cool by me.
I would like my tractor to look that good. It just isn't high enough up my priority stack
But back to the original question: I think the bottom line is to not worry about how you are washing it. Just don't soak your air cleaner! When I do wash them, I let them cool down some first. Oh, and I use beer.
