Good point. On my hobby car, I have those lug nuts for aftermarket wheels where this isn't the case, and they're a real PITA. But gotta do it to have Centerlines. At least, this was my thinking when I was 20 years old and was into the car. Now it just sits around lonely because I'm too sentimentel to sell it. :(

Sorry you took offense at me calling your tractor a mower, as I often call my tractor a mower, and even refer to the guys pulling 20 foot batwings down the highway as "mowers". It isn't the size of the tractor that makes it a mower, but more of the implement that it is pulling. If it is cutting grass or brush, it is a mower to me.

Mine is (was, I sold the car) in the plastic pouch with the screwdriver, etc. located either in a bin on the side of the trunk or with the jack and spare tire. The car is a '98 Passat. The wheel locator stud doubles as a handle for something else, if I recall correctly.

Don't worry, the Kioti's rear wheels have 2 studs and the rest bolts, so
mounting is not bad. Like the B3030.

It seems Euro cars are mostly bolts, while American and Japanese use nuts/
studs. My BMW and Ferrari were all bolts. I like how VW provides a guide
stud...that't the first I heard of that.

My Mahindra (TYM built) has one stud per wheel to ease mounting a bit, the rest bolts. I see no reason why someone with an all bolt wheel can't install one stud and leave it there - then you would have 4 spare wheel bolts for when you lose one or ruin one. Just be sure the nut is the proper type for your wheel i.e. flat or conical.

Are all conicals the same? I ask because I got some 16" Ronal wheels for the 'dub and they came with their own bolts along with very strict instructions to use only those bolts.

BTW, if anyone wants a good deal on the wheels and a good set of Goodyear triple tread tires, PM me. They fit '98 and later Passats and Audi A4's.
