I have a B7800 HST and when it gets cold outside as it is today and my machine is in a Quansit Hut it moves forward a few feet and then stalls. Does the same thing in reverse. I have already sprayed the foot pedal linkage with WD40 this works when it is warm out and there might be some dirt in the linkage. Any help would really be appreciated as we just got 14" of snow in the last two days.

It should not stall but if it is in 4 WD on a concrete or hard dirt floor, it could be creating some binding in the drive line. Try putting it in 2 WD and see if that helps. When you say stalls, do you mean it quits moving but engine RPM is still high OR does the engine RPM come down like if you are going up a hill and pushing too hard on the HST pedal?

Almost sounds like the brakes are on. Did you check the linkage?

Check all the safety switches for one that is sticking or iced up. I'd start with the seat.

By stalls do you mean the engine stops or the tractor stops moving?

If tractor stops moving does it sound like the engine is straining? If yes like Rod serling said check the brakes.

If engine is NOT straining possible your fluid is stiff from the cold and the charge pump on the HST is not providing the pressure / flow which allows the HST to move. Most of this size tractor require the charge pump pressure for pilot pressure to bring the HST on stroke or allow the tractor to move.

What type of fluid are you using UDT, super UDT.

I also believe there have been a couple of posts about tires slipping on the rims. Maybe check for that also.

When you start the tractor there is sufficient fuel flow to maintain idle but when you demand more fuel to the injectors, ice or gelled fuel can't get through to the injectors to provide power to move your beast.

While sitting still are you able to run the RPM's up to 2,500 or so? If so I guess your fuel delivery is fine.

I second this answer. Had the exact same issue with my B7800 the other day. Jumper on the seat switch to resolve.
