LouNY, good post informative post!
JD2130, just because you have had a battery on charge, and it lights up all the lights, doesn't mean that it is charged 100%! (100% of it's original capacity!) A battery can run lights and not have enough power to engage a starter. To help with this, get a good, very good quality set of jumper cables and connect them to a vehicle that is running, and see if that makes any difference. LouNY suggested a remote starter switch, which in conjunction with a good set of jumper cables off a running vehicle, should eliminate a lot of the variables in what you are trying to figure out.
I am skeptical about the trash in the fuse box being the cause, as it is more likely that it was just the step performed prior to it starting..., if that makes sense.
