Tractor your best money ever spent?

Best money yo have ever spent?

I was thinking how my tractors were probably the best money I have ever spent. Then I thought a little more and realized they were not number one.

Mine are:

1. Spending 18 months traveling the world, after getting out of the military at age 22. Inspiration for this travel began in Southeast Asia.

2. Costs associated with being married and raising two kids.

3. Buying property and materials to build my own house, 99.5 percent with my own hands and of my own design.

4. Buying two diesel tractors, that work much harder than I do...

I was surprised the tractors ended up number four!

How about you? Where does your tractor(s) rank?

Probably our new 98 JD 6200. Manual tranny was junk from day one, but even after spending twelve or so grand on a Power Quad Transmission, it was money well spent. Mostly considering it is pre-computer, pre-emmisions, pre-anything of "quality" becoming "stupid" expensive and pre money becoming worthless.

$450 on a old, ugly horse, 30 years ago. Horses are wife's passion. A whole heap cheaper than a divorce or psych therapy. I kinda like them myself. The farm, is the result of that old horse. So, I get to have tractors, truck, trailer, backhoe, a welder, chainsaw, tools of the sort a pro mech would have, etc...
