Hard to argue that... other worst values that quickly come to mind:

1. Tuxedo rental
2. Pretty much any purchased. extended warranties
3. Exterior perimeter pest exterminator services

"10 baggers" (or better) are hard to beat especially in the short term...have lucked into many of them over the years...

physically speaking anything that is a labor (or time) saver is almost always worthy...accordingly the ROI will be a big plus...

As for tractors...once you have one the best money that can be spent is adding hydraulics of any kind that replaces manual manipulation...

Through one of our children, we know of someone that owns a very large chain of tux shops. Between proms, weddings, etc... cancellations/downsizings, he's got to be hurting. I hope he survives. It's a very reputable and family oriented business.

Not always!
Bought a boat, used the boat from Florida to Canada, plus many weeks in the Bahamas, maintained and repaired it for 11 years, and sold it for $125K more than my (used) purchase price.
Broker comission was $20K, so my net gain was actually $105K.

In the context of working around the property the tractors rank right up there in the best money spent since more times than not there is one of em' real close by. What is on top of the list depends entirely on WHICH list we are talking about and the task at hand.

You should buy a nice trawler to go up the Pacific coast to Alaska.
Mine was a stabilized 44' DeFever trawler.
