I would check the glo plugs, mine was starting hard and I found out two glo plugs were bad, weren't getting hot at all. I put two plugs in it and it works great. Just take one out, ground it to the engine and see if it gets hot.

It will be even easier and faster if you check the continuity of each plug with a multimeter.

When you started talking about data uplink I thought you were going to say you peeped out the livingroom window through the frost as you drove your Kubota via a joystick.

I have the same blower, came with my b7100. I keep waiting for it to snow enough to use ;) I did try it out once, seemed to work ok. I do have a question though, does the PTO shaft go straight into the blower? Mine almost looks like there was a reduction gear bolted to it at one time due to the way the paint is not faded as much. Also, what PTO speed do you blow at? Mine is well-used and didn't seem to move snow very far unless it was at 1000 on the pto. There is a pretty good gap at the end of the impeller blades so I wonder if it is not just worn and needs to be worked over.

Charles

charles,

yes, the pto shaft goes straight into the blower; there is a three-sided shield, but no gear box - the actual gear box is on the front at the junction of the augers. after a lot of experimenting, i found the following combination works best: low pto speed (540/520), high throttle, low-range reverse gear. the thing really doesn't need to throw the snow far, just out of whatever you're clearing. the key is to, once you start going, keep going. even in small snowfalls, just keep going and the snow will eventually make it to the impeller and be thrown. my best tip for you is this: when it snows, get on it as soon as it stops. don't wait. the moisture content of the snow is a major factor. if you wait and let the snow get heavy and wet, you will have bruised finger bones, bloody knuckles, and just might make amercia's funniest home videos. it sucks to have to clear the chute. the snow will pack that thing harder than cement. whenever i come to the end of a run, i take it out of drive gear and release the clutch with the pto still engaged. this clears all the snow out of the blower before pulling forward to make another pass. this seems to be when it is prone to clog - when there is residual snow in it after disengaging the pto. and i believe that there is meant to be some wiggle-room on the auger shafts. hope that helps.
