I drive in 16's, there's not so many nails in one that I can't hammer them in. And yes I do have a nail gun...

Some of the parts in that box were from OLD broken boxes, and I no longer use a 4x4 on the sides, I've learned they don't need it.

As for backing up a 4 wheeled wagon, you could get a 4 wheel wagon out there, pay my way round trip and then bet me I couldn't do it in "one" try.

I'll warn you now, I'm a farm kid, so be prepared to loose! I've been backing up 4 wheel wagons since I was a kid!

If he's wise OldPath will pass on that bet.
I've never been able to figure out how farmers got the wagons backed into the spots I've seen the loading doors in old barns.

About that video...You need to just build a skid to put them on, much easier loading with a skid.. And whats with that pile of 2x4s, 5s, or 6s laying there.. no stickers or are you cutting hockey sticks for the long winters up there??

I'm a trailer man and later on I'll make my bridge on the trailer in two halfs and haul them down in the woods then unload them in two halfs, should be a really big shew.
Thats how my son gets cedar decking, he has to saw away the not so good stuff to get to what the customer wants. When he does that he gets a lot of small cedar boards thats harder to sell, so later on he'll put them all in a couple big bundles and try to sell them that way.

I manged to get 3 more logs out this afternoon, it was rough going, made bunch of mistakes or I call it human error. First mistake I didn;t pay attention backing up so I backed up on a big stump with dif lock in, wish I had power down 3-point hitch, I didn't know what to do, founately half my brain was working and I see the tree wedge scarf sitting there so jammed that under the tire and it was just enough to pull off the stump. Next mistake, I'm still upset about that so I wont go into detail of fixing winch sprocket chain.

16's are 3-1/4. Almost anyone who practices can learn to back up a 4 wheel wagon.

When I was a kid, the farmers would hook up a wagon and tell you to do it, you struggled until you got it and each time you got better and better.

How big are his bundles, what is the general range of the lengths, and how much does he sell them for? There used to be a big pine mill in Clifton which use to bundle like that, if somebody was doing cabinet work they could buy a bundle and get some pretty good material mixed in with the rest.

We all have days like that, every once in a while!

What kind of chain do you call this so I get some more spare links without making a trip to the tractor place?

Roller chain isn't it?

Roller chain, from the packages it's a 50, and it looks like the size of a #50 too...

I'd match it up to be sure...

Some brands of chain are better than others, I wouldn't call chain from TSC or a place like that high quality.
