Are the short wall the remnants of an old garage or shed?

It’s actually an old dog kennel. It had a small little house on it, maybe 50 sq. ft. and the rest were just runs. It probably hasn’t been used as a kennel for 40 years. The ground hogs have undermined parts of it making it partly collapse. I got this one yesterday.

The weather cooperated nicely. It was 18* this morning and the trail I broke yesterday set up solid. Still below freezing a noon when I quit. I'm thinning around the better trees and removing junk. Smallish stuff but all hard (sugar) maple.

Well its taken a couple months, but I'm finally caught back up to the current posts, just in time to stop burning wood for the year!
I hope to get a few more logs up to the house to chunk and split before it gets too hot. I try to get them out of the wood wile the ground is still frozen, or at least dry, then i can split and not tear up my logging trails. Any low spots get so soft in the wet months that you could lose a Prius down in there.

Got rid of a HUGE falldown spruce that tipped over 2-3 years ago. Got it cut up as firewood.

I had this wonderful tree split last year and take down some wires. Not a fun day in the neighborhood at all. So I went down with my "tractor" to pick up the trunk logs,

Not a bad day, got about 5 pieces this size up to the house, also those rounds plus that knarly stump piece right in front. Loader barely got it off the ground, and broke the weld on a link in the chain.

I hit a groundhog with a car once, with the right front tire of an old boxy Volvo 240, and thankfully I was only doing maybe 35 mph. It was so solid that, if I hadn't seen the thing a second before impact, I'd have thought I hit a block of concrete!

Needless to say the thing was deader than dead, but I'm honestly surprised I didn't blow a tire or bend a wheel.

My buddy had a Volvo 240 wagon in dark brown, black leather interior. He drove that thing forever, absolute tanks. And there is a local guy with a similar wagon, but hes got a souped up Chevy 350 in it, a real sleeper for the rice burners.

They are tough. I got one with a 5 ft Bush-hog behind my old Ford 2000 diesel tractor one time. It nearly stalled the engine. Much worse than the time I got a big snapping turtle. That thing sliced pretty easy compared to the woodchuck.

I hit a sack of concrete on the freeway on my right front wheel with my old Mercedes diesel 240D at 60 mph (downhill for those that never drove a 240D). I thought to myself I would need front end work, for sure. I took my hands off of the steering wheel afterwards and it drove straight as an arrow. Those things were built like slow motion tanks, but one of the most well balanced vehicles I ever drove with excellent sight lines.
