Dan I had a 70 ib pit bull once that loved to split wood with me. He'd grab an 8" round and create his own little wood pile someplace. Of course, it was never close to where I was stacking. 3 years after he had died, i found this little pile of rounds deep into the forest about a hundred yards out. It was a pile he made long ago and brought a tear to my eye.

I actually did carve a piece of basswood. Wifey needed a bust for posing jewelry on and this is what I came up with. I have never carved anything other than maybe some sand in the sandbox many years ago. You can see why:laughing: She made me do a boob reduction and make her "smooth" on the peaks!
it needs a little rabbit fur

Love your tractor Slick. Would like to see some "action" shots of it skidding in a hitch or some other chore that demonstrates the brute force of a 4wd 4025.

Arrow,
I don't have any pics yet, I do have a short video I took of my neighbor trying out my 4025 when I first got it. Can't figure out how to post it.

What a find this forum is. I worked in the woods with my father from the time I was 15 years old to 20 and dabbled in it my to my present age of 53. I am retired from 30 years of painful information system career and now it's time for fun. I am trying to get a woodlot and enjoy it to my firing days like my father did. . I have a kubota l4740 with a logging winch, trailer etc. I found these pictures beautiful. Guess I will call this forestry ****. I will be sure to share my forestry **** with you all.

I hope your tractors never get a woody like this. So far it looks like a broken hydraulic line to the transmission.

Well after timbersaws pics from down under that's a huge amount from one tree! - that's really hard to match! And I try to keep my Kubota from growing woody's like walkin horse as that's usually bad news!

Here's my simple setup - BH and Thumb setup picks and lifts to cut height and the front splitter does the rest. I cut 2-3 log length then turn around and split it.

Then there's some of the wood in storage I have cut and had milled and primed.
