To a large extent you are right but the hole can be out of round from wear and the piece can still maintain most all of it's mechanical integrity which is a whole lot different than being out of round because the piece was deformed or stretched and hence weaken significantly. Just saying.

It's a manual mill from Norwood Industries, made in Canada...

It's been a GREAT mill, I've milled a lot of lumber with it,
