Yes, I see them for the size of the 2816hst. A friend of mine sells uniforests winch...anybody use those. I thought if I had one, I'd make a mount on back of the bombardier to connect this to..and make up some kind of a power take off...I could use it on that too...hp would be limited by PSV's instead of the 2816hst pto hp. all dreams....

I like my cable winch. I sometimes turn 5 or 6 8 foot log sideways chain them and lift them out of the ground and go to the landing keeping the log clean. Also I find the cable winch is good for hung up trees. I also have a log trailer that hitches to my the winch. I winch them in and onto the trailer. I arrive at the landing with at least 1/2 cord of clean 8 foot logs

Good point about manipulating the tree hangs with a cable. Absolutely countless times this was done on our job sites. We'd even take "wrong way leaners" and just cut and winch them over the felling direction we wanted. Winches are extraordinarily handy.

Good for felling widow makers too! Cable it, shake it, eyeball it, cut it and pull it over while standing off. Also great for pulling a hang up out of the trees tops. It is all about technique.... expect the tree to try to kill you and plan on how to be somewhere else when the sumnabiatch falls!

That's why I always hugged all the trees I had to fell first thinking perhaps they'd like me better. Just like I do with my wife.

BTW Vroom in 1969 the first skidder I ever seen was a brand new 440 Timber Jack I got to skid with in the Rockys . The skid trails and landings were made of snow because the tarain was almost vertical.

Over ninety % of what I log for lumber and firewood is bug kill fir. I have an old rebuild 12v warn winch a battery behind the skidder attachment with 12 v line hooked to the postive on the battery so I never run out of power.
