Nice trailer. Are prices here really that much better than down your way? Most of them are made in the southern states.

P.S. Thank you for not posting a pic of the other thing OP mentioned. :stirthepot:

Well I don't know what LM22 paid for his, mine is a 20 ft dovetail made in NC, I paid $1500 used and it even came with a 12000 pound winch! I did have to fix a couple boards though.

Thank you, the price was a few hundred cheaper, it was also available where as everything in my area was sold out with an 8 week lead time. The big draw was it's powder coated instead of painted. It needs to hold up to your weather, so I thought it might be a bit better around here. This one is made somewhat local I guess, it's not a big name brand, so we will see.

And as for the picture, you mean a pic of this??

Are you going to haul wood and logs over the road or just around your place. DOT can be very interested in bunks and side stakes - at least here they can be.

gg

I plan to haul all sorts of stuff, logs, brush, equipment, even cars maybe. As long as it's 5000lbs or less, I hope to haul it. Not sure on DOT and side panels around here, I'll add that to my homework assignments.

I definitely paid more that $1500 for mine, but it is brand new, all the used trailers I've seen recently around here were about the same price as what I paid but looked like they went down with the Titanic. This one is an 18' total, 16' flat and 2' beaver tail. The only thing I wanted but it didn't have was a vertical upright at the front of the flat deck. Oh well.

Yeah, I got pretty lucky with mine I think. As I said it had one board popped out of its "retainer " at one end and sticking way up in the air, and the winch did not work. I think if the guy had done a bit of work on it he could have sold it for more. The board I had to unscrew and shift so it would go back in, and the winch just needed a new ground cable! One fender is wrinkled up a bit but it doesn't bother me so I just left it alone. Mine has that vertical upright at the front which is nice. I may give it a new coat of paint sometime as it is looking a bit ragged.
