First panel is in place, it was a struggle but it's there with just a little bit more thumb leveling to do. I just dont know where the 16' went, should've been 20 but didn't have the logs......

Well no wonder I can only lift a panel off the ground 2' on one end. This wood weight calculator was simple to use but only had western hemlock instead of eastern, dont know if theres a difference or not but either way this calculator added it up to 1,617 lbs and then I added in 30lbs of 6' bolts, must be around 1,650 lbs, I felt it on my trailer to.

Bridge is looking good!! Will your sawmill cut a 20 footer? Mine only goes up to 16'6"

So those spindly logs to the right in the picture, do you use them to skootch that bridge across? And where's the video of the install??

Those saw horses can take a beating. My younger son is putting in a lift kit, 34" tires, bigger axles etc, doing everything but a diesel engine, the shop has been filled the past few weeks.

On a side note, can you keep your pet chipmunks up at your place if you dont they will and are being shot on sight. I just got my Rhino back from Whittemore the other day, Flow bailed me out this time but she might frown on it if your pet chipmunks comes after my Rhino again.

I had those stupid chipmunks when I was stuck in that nasty colorado , did about $650 damage to my daughters car! From what I've heard some of that wire sheathing is made from some sort of wheat which attracts them. I set up a sniper station out of one of my windows to deal with them.

20'-4" is just about it for my mill, it would cost $800.00 to go another 6'.........
Well actually it's because of that install video that I'm going to try those small poles, I was going to cut some for the first panel but it was running late, and I'm just getting so tied of all the prep work for, building, loading, transporting, unloading and sliding into place that I tried a few shortcuts, yeah sometimes those shortcuts dont always pan out.

I was going to add this oak board first but I took another shortcut that did end well, so added it after the plank broke, glued and screwed, see if it breaks again.

Todays wire must be made of something that rodents like, I dont remmeber all this problems back in the 60s or 70s on stuff that had wires, never had to make rodent prove building back then either, most things was just under a lean-to or out side. My go to sniper rifle is a 410 or the Pale Rider...........

Nice, I'm not much of a fan of those little "shotshells" though . I have them in 22 mag and 44 mag, neither of which seem to work very well or have any range to speak of. I prefer a single accurate projectile.
