I did exactly as ruffdog did and for the same reasoning but it turned out that it was not the best way for my set up. It was fine for slowing down the implement adjustment speed to a nice manageable rate when the blade or grapple was on the ground and gravity was not a factor. Where I had trouble was when a heavy implement was raised off the ground, say a winch with a load of logs hanging on it or my heavy land plane. When there was a lot of weight like that the restrictor at the welded end would hold back fluid but the ram would move quicker so that a vacuum would be drawn in the restricted chamber. It would then act as if there was air in it until I cycled it a couple times. Putting the restrictor on the ram end prevented that from happening and gave my the same slow control I had before. Just my experience.....

I've been thinking of adding restrictors to my 3rd function hoses because the flow is not controllable. It is either full on or full off and that is an issue when using some of my front mount implements. Question is, do I need to put the restrictors on both of the 3rd function lines or just one?
Just one side. But you want to put the restrictor on the implement, not the tractor, as different implements will require different size restrictors... and some none at all.

I think I will start by installing the restrictor on the end opposite the ram and see how that works. If I have problems then I will switch ends.

I will install it on the tractor since I have 4 implements that need to be slowed down and I don't think they will need different speeds. They all just need to be slower.

Thanks for the help.

150+ pieces per trip to the shed!
I have counted every piece of firewood I ever touched each time I touch it....loading, unloading, stacking, unstacking...I still can't remember how many are in a cord :ROFLMAO:

That'd vary quite a bit, for me. I split to sometimes vastly different sizes based on the size of the rounds I'm starting with, how much I'm rushing or how tired I am, how straight and easy versus how gnarly the wood is, and sometimes even intentional variation knowing that a range of sizes helps pack more into the stove with my daily woodstove Tetris.

Those look like 24” splits. Love the Dyna units.
Try to do 20” or so
This was the first time I have rented a processor it sure is nice to cut and split a 10 cord load all in one day
