Sorry, I should have posted this last night. I was overjoyed! So I guess that things happen for a reason and where I am normally a doer, this time I let things just ride. (Thanks to all that said "give him enough rope" paraphrasing). Also, I think Ricks comment made me realize that I had just sat on it too long.
Tuesday night I accidentally pocket dialed the owners wife at 11:30 pm. She called me on Wednesday (yesterday) and asked if everything was ok, I told her I know they get up at 4:30 am so sending an oops text message was worse (more noise) then nothing at all and I was very sorry.
She said they've missed seeing me and that her husband would like to talk to me. He asked when I have used the tractor. I replied, "I used it the first week of September and again last Friday, why, is everything ok?" He said that he thought the fiancée had been using it and I gave him the complete history that I knew, up to the text. He was not happy and said he is going to have a talk with "Mr. To Big For His Britches/Thinks He Runs the Place" this weekend. He was especially upset because they asked me to hook up a PTO implement and the neither the barn manager nor the fiancée have ever asked for any instruction on how to use any thing connected to the PTO (remember the clutch conversation, think of how badly he could ruin something if he broke a shear pin and kept going or just put away broken). He said he noticed things were not being left nicely like I normally do so they started wondering, that was really nice to hear he noticed.
Also, thank you all for your support and words of encouragement. I will update you all if anything else comes about.
I have learned a lot on this forum, some of the information is not about tractors, this is a perfect example. You guys and gals are awesome.
