So i'm still a newbe to this tractor stuff but i can tell you that in the 6 months that i've owned my tractor i've gained 15 lbs  i guess it from not doing as much manual labor. . . with i thought would be a good thing.

how many others out there have gained a pound or two. . . or 15

I'm seeing a little bit of that effect this winter, as I can plow the driveway with thirty minutes of seat time instead of two hours of walking/fighting the snowblower up and down...

By the same token, the tractor caused me more work this fall. I've been delaying a patio-block sidewalk since I didn't have the sand in place. Now that the tractor got all the sand moved in about an hour, I got to hand-lay all the patio block for the sidewalk. Also got to hand-spread four pickup loads of leaves so the tractor could plow them into the garden. I see lots of garden and landscaping projects being "facilitated" by the tractor next summer and causing me plenty of physical exertion to go along with it... Not to mention cutting splitting and stacking firewood the tractor keeps skidding out of the woods when I'm not paying attention.

Bri, you're looking at this cause and effect thing all wrong. :) You don't gain weight while you are operating the tractor. Therefore, I'm pretty sure another hour a day on the tractor will help you shed those extra pounds. Now get to it. Feel the burn, or perhaps it should be, smell the burn(ing diesel) :)

I've gone the other way. Get yourself a 9" angle grinder and start building some heavy steel implements.

Between building the log splitter (my welds sometimes need a bit of grinding), mixing concrete in the TPH mixer, hauling chains to pull logs, spade work to clean electrical and water trenches, planting trees, etc.... I've gotten in pretty good shape.

For me, seat time always leads to some physical activity. Just don't include carrying fuel across the field.;)

Aha, you were checking the bottom of the fuel tank again for debris. :D

Does the tractor have a cup holder that the beer can fits into?

:Dyes a beer can can be put in the cup holder but i found out real fast that it doesn't take long for it to go flat so i don't "drink and drive".
i really posted this to have a little fun but i have gained the weight. to show you how lazy the tractor has made me, i through the Christmas tree out the back door and then went and got the tractor to carry it to the burn pile. maybe i should not call it "being lazy" but i do look for a reason to start the tractor.

Did you build the concrete mixer? Do you have any pictures?

Im still young so I stay in shape year round. All summer I help my grandpa build barns, yeah, I run his bobcat a bit but I carry a LOT of wood to the barn by hand. Since my Yanmar doesnt have a FEL, I still get to do some manual digging. Even when I grade the road, I borrow the neighbors Bx24 and a shovel and get a scoop of gravel, then hand fill all the holes. I like getting behind a shovel. At my dads, we use the 3720 for most everything but a shovel is commonly used, from unloading stuff out of the truck, to digging a trench.
