TractorSmart Change Ownership???

I just went to TractorSmart.com and it looks like Keller Bros.
250 Schaeffer Road, Lebanon, PA 17042 now owns the site. What happen to Ronnie???? Anyone?

Hope the price and service does not change with new ownership. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I think Ronnie will have to speak for himself on that.

I certainly hope that, if this is indicative of a change of ownership, it was a satisfactory result for him; he has been a straight guy to deal with.

This is surprising! Kellar bothers is about 20 minutes from me. They are probably my biggest local competition. I talked to the guy at tractor smart awhile ago and he seemed to be phasing himself out of the business, at one point he was still selling parts while not being an actual dealer. It looks like Kellar bought out his site. The place is primarly a Ford Car dealership.

In an unrelated note, I checked their parts list against my internet parts database to see what the pricing was like. I found quite a few odd results, some pricing was high, some was low, and at one point a number I punched in returned an air filter when it was infact oil. I know our site is correct, it updates pricing and inventory directly against Kubota's price list in our business system every night. Just an FYI that somthing does not look right.

I have to tell you that Keller Brothers is great. They have been more than helpful to me and offer competitive pricing with $5 shipping on any size order. You will be happy if you use them.

We have been charging the actual UPS rate as our system calculates the weight of all the parts. I have been pushing for a flat rate or free shipping over a certian $$ amount. Problem is that certian items, say a pail of UDT, are extremely heavy and obviously can't be done like that. Do you know how others handle those kind of situations?

Yes I've talked to Ronnie on the phone several times. He said Kubota only charges $5.00 on ANY dropped shipped part. The $5.00 includes multi ship points. IE you buy 2 items and one is shipped from Dallas and one from Atlanta, you get 2 boxes but shipping still $5.00(total!!). Anything over I guess the dealer is keeping the rest. This was the beauty about Ronnie. Better prices, no tax, and cheap shipping.
