It's been a while since I posted here with me finally getting around to construction of my new home and shop. However I figured that I'd show some pictures of my new tow rig. I traded in my 2013 Silverado 2500 CCSB Z71 LT DMax/Allison for a 2015 Ram 3500 SRW 4x4 CCSB Laramie equipped with Cummins and Aisin. I wasn't really looking to get rid of my Silverado as it was a great truck but I got $1250 less in trade than I paid for it 2 years ago, and that's with Chrysler Affiliate pricing and $3500 in rebates. For that deal I just couldn't say no.
I've said before that I'm not brand loyal and will buy what I like that's the best value. In this case I looked at the new Chevy trucks and while I don't like the look of the new ones as much as the one I had, or for that matter the Ram I just bought I did consider buying one but didn't get as good of a deal. I didn't give the Ford much consideration as I don't really like the way the new ones look, and just am not as interested in the current Ford compared to the Chevy and Ram.
So, long story short I ordered my truck with the Aisin transmission, Laramie package, snow plow prep, remote car starter, gooseneck prep package, clearance lights, spray in bedliner, wheel to wheel side steps and CHMSL camera for hooking up my gooseneck. I ordered the truck in Maximum Steel Metallic two tone and love the color. It took a little over 6 weeks to arrive. So without further ado, here she is...
