kubota 4610, kubota 4200, John deere 455, exmark 72" zeroturn mower, takeuchi tb260 excavator
I have a Kubota L4610/cab, remotes front and rear, loaded R4's, HD bucket w ATI quick attach. The tractor has about 1250 hrs. I bought it new.... My wife and I are the only operators...never worked out commercially. I am considering a trade, with a local dealer, for a 2019 Kubota L4760/cab, HD bucket, remotes front and rear, loaded R4's. This unit has 210 hrs and they are asking $36,900. They are offering me $15,000 for my trade. Your thoughts on this deal would be greatly appreciated

I searched for a year to find a pre Tier IV 40-ish HP tractor and found a clean L4240HSTC with 977 hours on it for $27K and felt blessed. If you have a nice Pre Tier IV tractor with 1250 hours on it I'd either keep it or sell it myself. About a year ago I sold a clean L3200HST with a homemade cab, blower, mower and some odds and ends for $18,500.

I traded my previous L3410 open station loader tractor with similar hours for $12000 5 years ago. I should have sold it on my own, as I suspect I could have done about $3k better.
Your L4610 cabbed machine should be worth more in trade than 15k IMHO. Pre emission machines are a sought after commodity, and current dealer inventory are both factors in your favor.

I know my 4610 is probably worth a little more...but after doing a search of used 4760HSTC's it seems the price on this one is pretty good...for a machine w/200 hrs.... I haven't done all That much looking, but... Seems a numbers game....do I beat'em down some on the 4760 or demand more for My tractor.... dunno... I DO appreciate the input, guys.

Good luck with your decision. I will say that the L60 series cabs and hst + transmissions are awesome.

thanks, Rj. I have driven one on a dealer's lot and done some research....the range-shift on the fly is indeed awesome....much roomier cab with better visibility/access ...and many more improvements overall. Think it's a good pick to replace my 4610. The one thing that I have a little concern with is the new emissions and something called DPF. I have a Kubota tech friend that told me those tractors shouldn't be left idling for long periods.... It's better to be working.....and this DPF thing might need to be replaced ( not too often...maybe once in 5000 hrs ) and a 'reset' would need to be done ( only the dealer can do? ) I know next to nothing about all this...so if anyone can offer some insight that would be great

In the two years I owned my L3301 before selling it I almost always operated my tractor at 2,000 RPM or better. I think I had 3 regens in 90 hrs and I kept working through the regen.
The DPF will outlive me or until I might sell my new MX5400 years down the road.

It would be worth your time to put your tractor on Craigslist. My dealer offered me $15k as a trade-in on my 2019 L3301 (and a grapple) with 90 hrs. Sold it (and a grapple) within 2 days after listing for $19,500.

And by the way you know I sit on the stand. And it get hot I got a lotta I got hairy legs that turn that that that that that turn blonde in the sun. And the kids used to come up and reach in the pool and rub my leg down so it was straight and then watch the hair come come back up again. Then look at it. So I learned about roaches. I learned about kids jumping on my lap. And I've loved kids jumping on my lap.

LMAO! ;););)
