Ah - you have bigger place than I. I mow app. 2 acres, though i have numerous trees, I sure don't have an orchard! So I think I'll just stick with the tractor.
What has helped me is the Deere mulching kit. It works really well & has saved me from having to bag & dump clippings, and also I don't need to fertilize the grass anymore. Deere's MMM deck has a deep lift section for max. mulching. I added mulch baffle kit & blades.
