Well I did it folks, but with a significant change. My Wisconsin dealer made just too good of a case for the factory ComfortGuard Cab. It was $3350 to upgrade from the curtis cab they way I had it configured to the ComfortGuard. I may have some issues next sumer around my forest but Stihl pole saw should help. The thought of a scratch on the cab sends shivers down my spine.
It was a close call with the 4520. I was a little confused because Deere won't let a customer add the air suspension seat package to include the deluxe two piece cloth seat. The dealer has to install the air suspension package and use the existing one piece cloth seat. I'm sure that seat is an excellent seat but I just thought I wanted the deluxe version. Had Deere allowed me to upgrade the seat I probably would have gone the 4520 route. But it would have been around $300 through parts and the price difference was just too close to the 4720 so I went that route.
So we will see. There are times I will probably miss my TC. But at least for 5 months of the year I think the new cab will make it worthwile.
