Could you take an existing head and bore it out to handle larger diameter string?
No and for at least two reasons. Someone told me the teeth become "set" to hold a certian size over time. This could be true because when we tried some .170 string, many of these were simply thrown out. Sthil has a design flaw in the holders and the large spring is busting them apart. Larger string would do it quicker.

Bridges are an important trail feature but the one we walked over today is very poorly built. I'm surprized its still up. Mid creek supports are poor but they added two here.

Using my F3680 to clear some walking trails yesterday.
I’ve got this property’s trails down to basically driving them with the mower, only having to clear an occasional fallen tree limb.

On Sunday afternoon we finally got out on our trails and did minor ditch digging and culvert cleaning. Spring mud and water season here. This is logging roads and single track seen here. These little rakes rock on cleaning culverts.

This bridge is good.

All done for the day. Not done with the trail but we got something done.

I clear trails for National Conservancies on a couple battle grounds in my neighborhood. Here’s one thats easily cut with zero turn and a weed whacker.

I also hay the property. The barn was built just after the civil war. The Revolutionary War Battle of the Brandywine occurred here.

Draining some wet spots this morning on logging roads. Yes, it is drizzling out. Note the hunting dogs on the right.

Kinda hard to believe this is a logging raod and covered with mine road. What a few years of no care will do.

Walking around our single track trails today to cut drainage ditches, we noted that the leaves are still mostly off the trail after blowing them last fall.
