Trailer behind RTV500 / ATV

I have a rtv500 also I use a harbor freight type trailer 4x8, I put a 12" receiver extension on and it makes hooking up the trailer easier and a backup camera because you can't see under the bed when backing up, I've had this setup for 8 years and use it often for trimming trees an bushes that don't fit into the small bed.

I have a 4' x 8' trailer like those Harbor Freight ones mentioned. Even with RTV, I use it to haul branches and bulky yard debris. Much better than the typical garden tractor dump carts.

I guess 1195lb, I bought it when Home Depot opened in our area 20 years ago, never used it on road, has 4:80x8 tires. I like the new ones with the larger tires should roll easier. I think I paid $99.00 for it.

I have one of the 4x6 Carry-On trailers from Lowes. When my father passed away I inherited it. It's nice because of the rear drop down gate but I rarely pull it behind my Honda. It's just not sturdy enough for use off-road. I have a smaller trailer that I made to be used behind an old three wheel ATC that I had been using. I'm in the middle of building a larger trailer (54" x 68"). My small trailer has the same small wheels as the HF trailer posted above. It was actually made from a trailer that was the same size as the HF one (I bought it in the 80's from a department store called Ames). Unlike the Carry-On trailer the Ames special was bolted together and it was very weak. I did upgrade the tires to 5.70-8 tires but because they are kind of narrow they easily sink into soft ground and mud challenges them. My new trailer has golf cart tires on it. The great thing about golf cart wheels is they are the standard 4 on 4 bolt pattern. My advice is before you buy the HF trailer to to look at one in person. I ended up welding the frame together, it helped sturdy it up. Another option would be to look into an ATV trailer. Something like this might work well for you. http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_200641809_200641809

Swung by Harbor Freight after work. Couldn't decide on which trailer -- they also had several on clearance that aren't listed online.

I did snag this Haul Master Truck Bed Extender for ~$50 while I was there though.

Load that up and pull some nice wheelies.

That's how you unload; it is really quick and avoids wear on the bed lift system. The Xtend-a-bed also can be mounted vertically so you can put a canoe or kayak on top. Pretty handy gizmo (though moreso on a pickup truck).
