I just bought a 6x12 trailer with 4' gate, 3500 lb axle, and wood floor for 1250. Made by Superior, which is a GA company, I believe. One thing for everyone to look at is the tires these companies are using. Of course 99% of trailer tires are made off-shore. The tires on the trailer I bought were 15" 'Arisun' tires - never heard of them. They are radials and speed rated (shocking) and looked ok. BUT - I went to my local tire shop and bought two Maxxis 8008 tires on two new wheels - 15" size. I will use one Arisun tire as a spare and sell the other. I just feel a lot more comfortable with a top quality tire when I'm cruising along at 75 mph with my beloved motorcycle on the trailer. Maxxis the best you can buy and more expensive than most others. I'd recommend top quality tires on a trailer just like I'd recommend them on your pickup. It's an investment in safety.
And, yes, I'm taking my bike to Trailer Week...
