Tighten your axle spring U bolts. That's something people neglect when building a trailer. A lot of times they will "slip" on the spring and be out of alignment too.

Thanks for that tip, sometimes we assume things are ok from the factory, much obliged.
While you are at it, check your bearings as well. Don't trust your life to someone waiting to get off work on Friday afternoon so he can go home and get plastered.
Have a 6x10 trailer frame made from 2x3 tube. Axles/hangers mounted and tongue on. Just measured front of hitch to each tire, nearly 1/4" difference. Measured corner to corner, same 1/4" difference. No decking installed. I hate to cut tongue off to straiten main frame, lots of work. Would it work to grind one side axle hangers off and adjust 3/16????? Appreciate thoughts
Crabbing is the tendency for the trailer to go "sideways" down the road, due to the axles not being square.
OP here. Just to clarify, i have aligned the axle (one 3500lb) square with the coupler.....equal distance from coupler to each axle side. Yes, the frame is 3/16 out, i guess we will just live with that. Should have caught it long ago but i guess too many birthdays.
Thanks to all, will finish, pull and report with pics. Gained allot of good info from the thread
