Hello

I'm looking for a good place to find trailer parts and supplies. The parts are bigger stuff like axles, suspension components, fenders, brake parts, etc. Smaller stuff (bearings, seals, wire, lights, etc.) usually isn't a problem, my local Napa parts store has or can get it. Northern tools seems like they have some stuff. I have found a semi local trailer place, mostly sales. Trying to get them to get parts is like pulling teeth and the price is usually a bit higher.

So I was kind of thinking along the lines of a wholesaler. I'm not afraid to buy on the Internet from a good company.

Thanks for your help.

Yep, Northern Tool has quite a bit of that kind of stuff, and I'd suggest finding a Dexter Axle dealer by clicking on "Find a Distributor" on their web site.

Derek, are you thinking of building a trailer? I was in the trailer building mode, still am somewhat. Plans involve Dexter axles, brakes from same and 16" wheels/tires like my truck with 8 lug. The thing I was thinking about was a dump trailer with maybe 3 or 4 foot sides but the trailer would be a 5th wheel style to allow for the tractor to be in the trailer and the loader rest on the 5th wheel support. The length would be the shortest needed to accomodate my tractor with a boxblade and loader. That would basically be the length from the front grille to the back of the boxblade. Anyway, I had a whole bunch of links that all evaporated when my new harddrive got installed. Rat...

Not not really... But I would like too... If I had time and some extra money /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif. Right know I have to put $$$$ in to my new tractor.

I have a customer at the shop who left wood on the trailer over the winter. With the weight of the wood and snow it broke both main leafs. He also would like to beef up the capacity too along with new wiring and fenders.

I thought about building my own when I was looking for trailers last summer but found a 7 ton trailer, 21' for $3k. My father then talked me out of making it /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
