If you have a chance check this web site

Kaufman Trailer Sales

I just ordered a gooseneck, 20'+2' dove tail, 2 7k axles with brakes on both, fold down ramps, spare tire/wheel, chain/binder box, dual drop jacks, pipe rail delete, for $4280 shipped to CA.

I also like Big Tex and have a dealer 30 miles away but there prices are out of line IMHO. I know they are a great trailer, and it is a gamble ordering from a company several states away and sight unseen but........for $3000 difference I'll take that gamble. Tom

I'll second Kaufman trailers. I just bought a 20' bumper pull, 18' flat and 2' dove, 2-5200# axles, brakes on both, spare tire, break-away-box, long fold down ramps for $2850.00. I did pick it up from the factory though, don't know what shipping would be. They are made in NC where I live and I think they have a plant in another state. They are close to Asheboro, NC. they sell direct and they have a good inventory in stock.

I sold a 16' dovetail 7000# GVWR for $1200.00. This is what I paid for it 6 years ago and it needed a set of tires due to cracking.

I looked at several brands before I bought the Kaufman and I did not find any of the same quality as the Kaufman. I am very impressed with it.

Kaufman Trailers Inc.

same company as Kaufman trailer sales.

Ya they are a totally different company, I thought they were the same also till I called both of them. I tell you though both APEAR to make a great trailer for the money. I went with the outfit in Texas cause their shipping to CA was about half that of the outfit in NC which of course makes sense distance wise. Also because they had the pipe rail delete option on the lowboy goosenecks and other companies wouldnt. The Kaufman of Texas will ship anywhere in the 48 for $500: bumper pull and $600 Gooseneck. Whatever trailer you get, you should have brakes on both axles. If it's heavy enough for two axles and 4 wheels, it's heavy enough for four wheel brakes. That is really a no brainer.

If I ever buy another trailer ,I think I'am going with 4 wheel disc. I've had too

many problems with the elec. brakes . Always having to adjust them . just

like an auto with disc. Disc.on a trailer never need to be adjusted
