Trailer rental in MA

Speaking of hiring a local outfit to move your equipment. Don't forget towing outfits with ramp trucks. Even my TN will go up on most ramp trucks and they aren't all that expensive to hire. They are usually available with about an hour or two's notice in this area.

Not sure how far north or east in MA you are, but East Coast Lumber in Hampstead NH rents a 16' equipment trailer. I believe Landscapers Depot in Kingston NH does as well.

Try Grand Rental Station in Plaistow NH. They are on RTE 125, just over the MA/NH border. I've rented 10k trailers from them before. I think it was about $80 for a day. I had an electric brake controller though. If you don't have the controller, I think you have to rent an adapter for $10. I live outside Manchester and it was the only place I could find that rented trailers. I tried the UHaul route, but the open trailer is a pain.

Every tool rental place I called sort of chuckled when I asked.

I called them, and they still do rent trailers, so NH rules must be different. They are about 20 miles from me, so at least I have an alternative.

Hey, maybe some of us in the area should band together and share a trailer! Even if you needed it just 3-4 times a year between 3 people, that should cover the cost! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I have been sort of in the market for a trailer. Either there garbage, or they cost 2k. Maybe next year I will just bite the bullet. Glad to here they still rent them.

How about posting the name/contact info of the trailer place that will rent to you. I have tried to rent an appropriate sized trailer from UHaul in the Boston area and found it difficult too.

Thanks

So, the two place that still rent trailers north of Boston are:

Grand Rental Station, Plaistow, NH
Taylor Rental, Haverhill, MA

They are indenpendent franchisees, so don't expect other places to have the same policy. Don't have their numbers handy, but you could look them up.
