I don't think people will ever learn. Here are a couple of pictures we took with my cell phone. We were on the interstate going about 65 mph when these were taken.

In case you missed the chains, here they are.

That really makes me mad when I see that. Someone's going to die if anything at all goes wrong (like blown tire).

Hard to tell from the photo but I didn't see any electrical connection from the trailer to the truck either which probably means no trailer brakes or lights. That would be a lot of weight to try to stop with just the pick up brakes.

And he might have liability insurance, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Drivers like this are why you need uninsured motorist coverage.
The other thing is this quy will be the first one to complain that he don't need advice on how to do it write.

This is why we need the DOT cops. I rarely get pulled over. When the cops come up from behind me & see my chains, binders, trailer brake wiring, saftey chains and the general state of my trucks and equipment, they have no cause to bother with me.

Or, they may look at your outfit and decide you can afford to increase the financial level of your participation in state government. ;)

Well hey, somebody told him to take a chain when he moved his tractor so he did.;) .. Seriously, there went an accident looking for a place to happen.

I was at my MF dealership a couple of months ago talking to the service guys when a guy pulled in with cab 493 with MFWD and a loader on a light gooseneck trailer. That's a 8000+ lb rig without the loader and loaded tires. He had 1 chain run up thru the bottom of loader mount (right in the center of the tractor)and boomed down to the trailer. As dumb as that was I guess he was ahead of this guy.:(
