Rob - Your comment about making the tractor one with the trailer is a very appropriate one. I attempt to chain mine down sufficiently that if you picked the trailer up, turned it upside down, and shook it, the tractor would stay on the trailer. (For that matter, even the cup should stay attached, eh Harv?)
I'll never forget following a lowboy with a dozer on it around a rough off ramp and seeing several inches of space appear between the trailer deck and the tracks of the dozer. Needless to say, with the truck going around a curve, when the dozer made contact with the trailer again it wasn't in the same place as when it started. I hailed the driver on the CB, and he said "You don't think that thing is going anywhere do you? Do you know how much it weighs?" I said "I know how much it weighs, and it doesn't matter - it's already "gone somewhere", and if you go around another ramp like this one, you're going to lose it." He looked in the rear view mirror and could see that it had shifted to the side, so he pulled over and chained it down. He even thanked me, in an off-hand sort of way... /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
