Tran dipstick interferance

I have a 3215 hst. I had an issue with my transmission dipstick where it was chewed up. I thought it was because my young boys bent it around some. I got a new one and when installed it immediately started getting knocked. I now use my old one as a cap and bring out the new one whenever I want to check the fluid level. Has anyone else had this issue? Thoughts on the problem?

Try putting the dip stick in 180 deg from how you are putting it in, or try rotating it to different positions.
