Thought I'd post a pic of my 1240 during my extended service. I'm doing this at ~180 hrs just to be on the safe side. Drained and refilled everything, re-torqued wheel lugs, etc. As can be seen from the photo everything is easy to access with the loader off. I went with NAPA all the way for filters and lube, except engine oil was Delo 15w-40. To my surprise, the only metal shavings I found were on the PS screen, trans screen was pretty clean, don't know why that was but it made me glad I did the oil change. Another thing of interest was the old trans oil looked pretty clean when I drained it, that is until I transferred it to the used oil tank, where it was evident that it was not really so clean. Goes to show better to err on the side of less time between service rather than greater.

I think some of the oil change intervals shown in the manuals are too long anyways, maybe under ideal conditions, but if you can do the work yourself its pretty cheap insurance and kinda fun too.
