Some of your parts stores will have a big syringe that looks like a grease gun. Don't know whether it is approved for gasoline or not.

The one I got at HF looks like a grease gun without the lever on the side. It is not rated for gasoline.

I like just adding some Stabil, running the machine for a while to get it into the carb, then calling it a winter. The Stabil-ized gas in the carb won't gum up, the seals won't dry out, and condensation won't form in the carb (or tank - keep it full). Plus, you can forget the siphons and pumps. YMMV.

Just recently purchased a silent generator /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif. Two hours after I received it and started using it (after 11 +days w/o power) the electricity arrived /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif. When I reviewed the Storage procedures it indicated the use of a hand pump.

After a little leg work these are my findings...Hope they are useful to you.

A couple inexpensive varieties of fuel hand pumps can be found at:
http://plumbing.hardwarestore.com/52-302-siphon-pump.aspx (several models)

but from the list above, the 3 below are specifically for use with fuels.

Thanks you for doing so much work looking for these pumps. The cheap <$10 pumps are what I am looking for. Now I just need to find who carries them around me. I can't imagine mail ordering something that will double its price with shipping.
