Transmision Whine

I havea new L3130GST and have noticed a whine from the transmission in 5th and 6th gear only. It has done this since new and doesnt sound that bad. Just wondering if this is common for this tractor?

Can't help you, but my L4400 (gear drive) whines like crazy in high gear (4 high). Pitch of the whine changes depending on speed, rpm and grade. Sometimes it is quite loud. Everything works properly so I'm assuming all is well.

My L-3130 GST with 785 hours on it has a distinctive different whine too, for some reason 5th and 6th are weird. It used to whine more in 11th and 12th but that has gone away with time.

Just make certain that your transmission is filled properly with Super UDT hydraulic fluid and you'll be okay.

With a 4 year old L3000DT I hear a gear whine in the highest gear moving down the road. Guess it is normal, oil levels always checked and are okay.

I did bother me when new but now I have grown accustomed to it.
