When I engage either forward or reverse I get a loud, creaky, dry, grunt off the Kubota . Once the I move 6" the sound is gone - it's only on takeoff. Its a B1750 HST.

What's causing it and how can it be solved.

I agree with Ron, your either your rim to spider bolts are loose or your lug nuts are loose. Check the torque spec in the manual and tighten them up. When you re-torque them, break them loose and then raise the wheel off the ground. Remove the nuts and coat the threads with never sieze and then torque them to the specs listed in your manual. Tighten them in a progressive manner using an X pattern. The dry "grunt" tells me that there is probably corrosion on the nut faces. The never sieze will eliminate that.
