Oil & Fuel transmission oil cooler hose leak

I was getting by with new bent hoses, but one came loose, it came completely off, yesterday. I left it idling unattended and when I got back to it I lost about 6 gallons!
What is the conduit for?
Will the repair kit with the straight hoses still balloon up?
I guess I need to check them at least once a year and make sure they're tight and not deteriorating!

I got the repair kit three years ago and have not touched the straight hoses yet. My bent ones I had to replace one or the other each year. Money well spent in my ok.

I picked up a few of the bent hoses at a dealer going out of business. I would like to switch over to the "kit" at some point though. I was also wondering what the conduit was for?????

It is a hose with 90-degree bend in it.

You would think they could source a more robust hose, I'm on my 3rd pair and the current ones are starting to slightly bulge.

Ahh! So simple! Yes, you're right about them using a more robust hose. Somebody cheaped out apparently.

Conduit - I meant the 2 steel tubes that came with the upgrade kit. Sorry, my poor choice of words.
The straight hoses also deteriorate. Mine lasted 2 years and a couple hundred hours of tractor time before they split. New replacements from NH are about $6 each.

Wow, this was an old post, I finally gave up about 4-years ago on replacing the hoses with the 90 degree bend when they started to swell. I purchased and installed the hard piping which eliminates hoses with bends with no issues since.
