On my 70 135, the shifter doesn't seem to want to move over to the 2nd and 3rd gear position.
At this time, I am happy enough using 1st and reverse high and low and don't want to jinx that.
Seems like I have to completely remove the steering box to inspect?
Was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts?
Thanks,
Gary

I wonder if I can use a screwdriver through the fluid filler hole and dislodge something?

Why yes you can. That's how it's done when jammed. When both shifters are in neutral the detent boxes with be side by side. Think of your shifter as a lever that fit in those boxes.pull left and the lower part of the shifter example. First gear. Left box would be pulled back with a screwdriver.

Thanks Kid!
So, I took the fill plug off and noted that you can see things. I then worked the shifter over in the 2nd and third direction. After just a few pushes, it went into the 2nd and 3rd position. All is well now. Just hadn't been used for a while!

I didn't learn that from experience. I learned right here on this website

not sure if this transmission works off the same principals as the ferguson 40 we have, but if you ever find yourself locked in a gear doing the same basic thing with one rear tire jacked up will relieve pressure on everything and allow you to pop the shifter into neutral again. I know when ours locked into second I was worried but a old time farmer and repair man told us about it and it worked perfect. Hope it never happens but its good info to have it it ever does
