That's another thing.... when I'm mowing or brush cutting, be it on the tractor, or walking the push mower, if I see a snake, or a mouse, or a frog or toad, I'll either drive around it or stop and move it out of the way. If I accidentally run one over, and its laying there flipping around, I'll put it out of its misery. I'll step around bugs and worms on the sidewalk if I see them, too. Spiders get scooped up and put outside. Jumping spider are my favorite.

I like wolf spiders...I usually just scoop them up and put them out in the yard...for those that are squeamish but don't want to kill them either there are tools...:

Mother nature is the cruelest thing out there with massive swings based on enormous suffering.

Mother Nature is no where near as cruel as humans are. Not even close. Mother Nature by and large kills quickly and to survive. There are exceptions but not like there are in the human race. Humans regularly torture before killing and kill needlessly. Absurd to say Mother Nature is the cruelest thing out there. Humans are.

Some years ago they decided that wild turkeys would be good to attract hunters and so they seeded the area.
Well the gobblers have taken hold to my surprise as we get very cold temps and lots of snow.

I saw a parade of 12 males crossing the road at my driveway.

A while back a gobbler was resting on a friends truck hood and literally fought him off as it liked the warmth of his engine.
Simply would not let him into his truck LOL.

Bears are a problem however as they do the circuit every trash day for lunch.
Problem is they scatter the unwanted all over the place and we have to clean up.

While we love deer but they also love our hosta plants, Guess it is salad to them, that or desert as the nip them clear off at the base.
However we learned that a sachet of Irish soap seems to deter them.
Another horticulturist suggested that I drink lots of beer and to spray the plants as I tour the garden.

You don’t need to go that far back to see what humans do to each other. So what has been so atrocious in your life that Mother Nature has done?

Thousands of starving animals... Wolves pulling down a cow moose, ripping open her belly, pulling the calf out and eating PART of it while she was still alive, then leaving her. Wolves killing or pulling down caribou after caribou, WAAAAAAAY more than they could eat, many still alive and they just kept at it...

I could go on and on, but if you haven't got the picture by now, you never will!!

There are lots of starving people and we have the ability to help each other. Animals do not. So that analogy supports MY point, not yours.

How do you expect wolves to take down a cow moose? Should they stick a knife in the mooses head? As far as overkill, maybe some young wolves but I bet the pack in nature would feed off of the kill for days. Humans just kill to kill and use torture. My point supported again.

Your points are not valid. Humans are far more brutal than animals. Senseless killings by humans for no good reason happen every day.
