Trapped four mice right in a row...

I was successful as much as sixdogs did first time ever last year - caught 4 mice at once too. Totally within December - 20 units.

I feed our crows with them caught. I'm putting them in always the same place. Crows got used often to fly around that place while waiting for the prey.

I've heard, that if you feed wild crows, they may pay off and bring you some golden ring or chain, piece of diamond, or pearl necklace found somewhere, lost by somebody...
So, catching the mice can become good business. Has anyone heard of this?:)
No, but I know crows like to collect bright colorful things . . . I would do as you do but if I would throw the dead mice out my dog might want some.

Then train your dog not to touch dead mouse. It can be very worth it... :)

:) . . . My buddy, a 15-year-old Aussie, is not so trainable at this stage of his life.

Maybe the mice have gotten smarter and you just caught the stupid ones.:)
After watching some on a game camera, I'm convinced there are some very smart mice. Often they take hours to circle around before they approach the traps. One was six hours before first approach and snapped trap. You would think they would look over and wonder why three of their best friends are kaput in traps.

Unless you mouse proof a building, catching mice is an endless job.

I had two places that I finally found where they were getting in our house. First was they chewed through the rubber garage door gasket at the corners. To solve this one, I ripped oak sticks and screwed them just in front of the rubber gasket, on the bottom of the door. The height of the oak stick was determined by measuring the gap between the metal door and the concrete, about 3/8 to 1/2 inch. The gasket still compresses and seals.

Another spot was where they chewed through foam, I just packed a bit of cement. Zero mice now for 18 months.

Barns can be very tricky to mouse proof unless you have a concrete floor.

I initially blamed squirrels for this. I cleaned out the mess then I moved the Jeep to another barn about 100 feet away. The very next day I found evidence that nest reconstruction had begun. Dang squirrels! Then I saw a huge rat scurry away. Size of a small possum. She was offered a smorgasbord of lethal treats that night. The fuzzy stuff on the engine is the former drivers seat padding.

Really impressive destruction. That's why I trap them.

The scented packets of stuff that keep mice out of tractor cabs are just drops of balsam oil, I think, on a cloth or sawdust or something. I think you can buy balsam oil on the internet and that smell might help out your jeep. The ingredients of those scented packets are printed on the boxes but at the moment I don't have any.
