I've been using a Kansas Clipper on Osage Orange, Hackberry, Red Cedar, and other trees since 1993. It has been a very good clipper for hardwood. I have a chainsaw but only use it once every three or four years; usually to replace my friend's.

I use the clipper for pasture clearing, side trimming, and cutting and splitting wood. The widest point is 14" so I can cut a ten inch tree with no problem. I use it on a 743 Bobcat with a quick-tach.
