An easy 1. Who invented the "Telegraph"??

A Little harder. Why did he do it???

Neither of those questions are easy. Many people invented telegraphy. Here is an example of a working system before Mr. Morse patented his. And this is only one. There are hundreds more examples of working systems decades before Morse..

Another similar question is who invented Radio and when?.. There is no answer in my opinion. I can site examples back to the 1860's

As with many new things, it isn't so much who was first as it is 'who made it practical'.

What is tyhe most common single digit number you will see. such as 3 0r 33 or 666 & so on.

A little mind reading here. Pick any number between 1 & 0 & I will get your # 75% 0f the time. Work's better in large groups.
Write your # down, don't put it here. It's just in case you are wavering between 2 numbers.

"To have a friend, be a friend" is a common marketing slogan these days but for those of us who grew up in the 1950's it was a part of a famous television actor's creed of how to live a good life and what is required to be an upstanding citizen. Every kid who watched the show knew the drill.

If you are old enough to remember those thrilling days of yesterday, maybe you'll know who said it and whose creed it was a part of.

Captain Kangaroo?

Nope, definitely no Kangaroo but there's a good hint in the post. As kids in the 1950's, all the guys knew this code and many of it had it memorized. We wanted to do our part to be good citizens. In some ways, things like this shaped our lives and pointed us in the directions we went.

If no one gets it or guesses I give the answer pretty quick but I do think you'd need to be over age 60 or 65 to get it.

“A fiery horse with the speed of light, a cloud of dust and a hearty Hi-Yo Silver! The Lone Ran-ger…With his faithful Indian companion Tonto, the daring and resourceful masked rider of the plains led the fight for law and order in the early western United States. Nowhere in the pages of history can one find a greater champion of justice. Return with us now to those thrilling days of yesteryear. From out of the past come the thundering hoofbeats of the great horse Silver. The Lone Ranger rides again!”

You got it. The Lone Ranger said it and it was part of the code of the West or the Long Ranger Code or something like that. The Lone Ranger lived by that code and expected us kids to follow in his footsteps. There were 8 or 10 or so rules you had to live by and we did. If I could have only gotten some silver bullets back then my life would have been complete.

I used to listen to him on the radio; TV not so much. I don't recall the motto or code of the West though. I do recall getting a Lone Ranger six shooter sparking ring in a box of Cheerios though.

Well, I was close. Guess it was a box of KIX, and you had to order it (cost 15 cents) and include a box top.
