trouble dumping bucket

Everything works fine on bucket most of the time. Every now and then it will stop several inches shy of a fully dumped position. If I move it around for a minute it will clear up and dump fully.
Anyone have a similiar thing happen?

Is the bucket empty when this usually happens?
If so, try not to push the joystick so far to the right, as you are hitting the "regen" (also called fast dump) function of the FEL DSCV which does not work well with a empty bucket.

It happens whether full or empty. The bucket is pretty empty by the time it gets to the area it sticks though, so that may be the problem. I'll watch joystick position from here on out. Thank you for reply!

To add to what KennyD said, if you have a later model 4300 (2000 or newer), you can lock out the regen by selecting the middle position on the three position joystick lock.

I only use the regen postion (top) on mine if I am handling something dense - dirt or stone.

My 4300 HST bucket used to stick like that some times. I would just slam the joy stick --right-- and then back to --dump-- and it would go all the way. Then I could continue working the bucket as normal for about a week and it would sometimes stick again.

sorry about the late reply. Thanks you all for replies. It still happens, but not that often. I'm sure my watching the position of joystick has helped a lot. Thanks again!
