I think NH does this junk with the fluid spec just to be propitiatory. It's illegal in this country though. Wonder if they know that. In order for a company to require something that can only come from them they have to give it to you for free. Like PCV valves on cars. Manufactures will give them to you for free because the government says they have to be replaced every so often. At least they used to do that.
Anyway, There is absolutely nothing inside the rear end or hydraulic system made of some space age materials that require overpriced fluid available only at new holland. If it's good for Kubota or case or CNH newer tractors then it's good in a new holland too. I'm not spending twice as much on anything if I can help it.
I looked at the container I have of NH MultiG 134 UTF and it says it meets CNH MAT 3525. I think the NH Spec was 410B. Does these numbers ring a bell with your fluid?
